It is always fascinating to me what we find remnants of, including wooly mammoths. I wonder, what will remain of us? Perhaps bits from this wall where we chose to hide the tag.

It is a wait and C.

cron publish 3 years 2 months ago 079 - Webster Park - The Pier

County Rd 1, Webster, NY, US

At Webster Park, you'll discover 550 acres beautiful evergreen-planted slopes, rolling lakeshore breakers and cool green valleys. Located along the shore of Lake Ontario, this Monroe County Park even has a fishing pier. There are tennis/pickleball courts, a scout/youth camping area, and a family Trailer/Tent campground in the park.

Side note, on calm days, I love the sounds of he water hitting the drain holes. Its so weird.

Hint: Tree hole

After many months of searching far and wide for others who look like him, Frozey's search ends in disappointment...or rather, at Cape Disappointment. No mammoths here, but there are plenty of beautiful views.

Mr. Fossil just lumbered right in, but you'll need a Discover Pass.

Woke up this morning, a little too early for my tastes and couldn’t fall back asleep. So I decide to go through my morning routine and check my email. Lo and behold 5 minutes earlier this Snag The Tag had published only a short walk from home! Of course I had to go get it! So I got there as quickly as I could and Snagged the Tag! Thanks for the rush of adventure!!

Even Mammoths need to eat! Come find where this Mammoth decided to hide out while slogging through the hot, humid Florida summer.

cron publish 3 years 2 months ago 020 - Indian Tower

W High St, Nazareth, PA, US

The Indian Tower is a lookout tower that sits at the highest point of the original 5,000 acres of Nazareth, PA.

The Indian Tower is commonly thought to have been a lookout for hostile Native Americans. In actuality, the local Native Americans had assimilated in Pennsylvania, and the tower received its name from the Moravian Graveyard it overlooks, which contains some Indian burials. The Moravian Graveyard was in use from 1744 to 1762. However, out of the 67 people buried there, only four were Native Americans. The original Indians would have been from the nearby village of Welagamika. The height of the tower is 30 feet. The tower has been used for many purposes: as a civil defense lookout during World War II, as a repeater station for emergency services, and also as a place to rest and reflect.

HINT: If you are standing at the top of the tower and are leaning against the railing that faces the gravesite monument. Your basically touching the tag. MHK

Everything is yours for the taking!

Also don't forget to look for the geocache at the bottom of the tower!

I thought this would be a great spot, given how many miles I've walked along this trail since we all started spending so much additional time at home since mid March 2020!

You're looking for a mammoth in a protective magnetic case, check low, where the two fences meet! You may need nimble and small (ish) fingers to retrieve this one from its hiding spot. There might be an additional prize in the container too!

Got this after an hour drive.......trying to just stay ahead of the rain. Had some muggles sitting next to the spot eating ice cream in the drizzling rain.

cron publish 3 years 2 months ago 045 - Mack the Mammoth goes to the MAC

W 1st Ave, Browne's Addition, Spokane, WA, US

Mack the Mammoth heard that he could find some of his friends inside Spokane's Museum of Arts and Culture. It seems that a talented artist constructed a whole stairwell full of Mack's friends having a fantastic PaleoParty. There are mammoths, a saber tooth tiger, a sloth, dire wolves... all constructed out of recycled materials! Mack was disappointed to find the MAC still closed, but Understands. He hopes to come back another time and see what artist Peter Thomas created.

To find Mack.... go to where the animal statue looks like the picture. Find these basalt rocks. Sit on one. You'll find Mack under a small stone shard. Oh look, there's even a peanut as evidence that elephant relatives are welcome here!

cron publish 3 years 2 months ago 202 - Mousam Mammoth

Deering Ridge Rd, Shapleigh, ME, US

It's hot out there and the woolly mammoth has a lot of heavy fur. So no wonder you will find one by the water to try to cool down. Park at the gate and walk short distance along the stream. The mammoth is resting in a shade under a big flat rock. Enjoy this special place.

cron publish 3 years 2 months ago 316 - A Mammoth Mistake

CT-85, Oakdale, Montville, CT, US

I could only think of a few places that would be perfect for such a tag as this location. If you had been here with your pet Mammoth at the same time as this big guy, I’m sure you wouldn’t have been sharing a coke, but would be running for your life, because you would have known you made a mammoth mistake by walking here that day.

When your looking, you might as well sit down and look around. Let your hands do the work on this one. 1 of 4, not green, but brown on Trex right. End close to his tail. Muggles could be in your way eating.

This wooly mammoth likes to graze on grass alot. So he found this rich green space to fill his belly. Maybe if you are lucky, you can catch him rolling on his back in the grass. If not, he'll be hiding under his rock so he is safe from other humans.

I was lucky enough to be in the area when this one published! I have been on the road almost non-stop since, hence the late posting on here. The first one my wife and I ever tried was for Tag Haunt and we drove from Ontario, Canada all the way to Rochester only to be beat out by another player by a matter of minutes. I love this adventure concept.

Want to see the big animals in Maine? Just a little further than where this tag is hanging out, take a left and enjoy the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray, Maine. Reservations are required; more information at https://www.maine.gov/ifw/wildlife-park.

If you are just here for the tag, look between the bears before turning into the entrance.
